We ate on Carnival Sunday. Homemade Galician stew. For dessert, homemade fried milk. Excellent food, generous portions (option to order a Tupperware and take away leftovers). Friendly, welcoming service. Exceptional value for money. Highly recommended.

It's a beautiful place to have a drink. I recommend going at sunset because it offers unbeatable views. The atmosphere is very warm and welcoming.

Bar Castillo isn't just a bar; it's a hidden gastronomic altar in Maceda. You don't come here to eat: you come to have a spiritual experience between crispy bread and heavenly fillings. Everything is made with care, at that exact point between homemade and legendary. The star pincho can't be described, it's experienced. Bread that crunches without breaking your soul, juicy filling that seems concocted by alchemists, and a sauce that's out of this world. If I had to compare it to something, I'd say it's as if your taste buds went on Erasmus and never wanted to return. The service is friendly, fast, with the flow of a bar with soul. Prices are more than fair for the amount of flavor packed into each bite. A Frenchman who tried it put down his fork, shed a tear, and said: "This isn't a pincho, it's a revolution." Since then, he's lived in Maceda, writing haikus about Galician bread.

This meal has improved a trip that seemed average, it has made me consider returning to the north just to eat again, 10/10 everything

There are few places where you can eat as well as here, and I've been fortunate enough to eat at many restaurants. Excellent service, and I'd also like to highlight the chef's ability to turn simple dishes into masterpieces.

5 stars and why they can't be more A highly recommended site! We went as a group of about 30 people to eat the menu of the day and we were delighted. Both the waiters and the cook were super friendly and outgoing, creating a very pleasant atmosphere. The food was 10, as was the wine, which stood out for its quality. I recommend ordering several bottles of wine, since, since they were the ones we ordered the most, we were treated to a house shot, shared with the restaurant owner's son. Without a doubt, a unique experience and a place to which we will return. Highly recommended!

Excellent, I have no words to describe how good, cheap and quality the food is. The waiters are incredible with their service, the cook cooks great. Really highly recommended. All the best.

The truth is that I have no taste or smell, but my friends say that everything was great, the food was abundant and the service spectacular. We have had wine like Uncle Kiko and they have charged us the same for the menu. Completely recommendable 👏
